After six years as a Senior Business Analyst working on Red Hat's Salesforce system Kelly Pfrommer struck out on her own to found Cloud Giants, an independent consultancy focused exclusively on helping its expanding client base make the most of their Salesforce investments. Kelly's practice focuses on immediate returns in the form of ready-to-go plans that customers can implement internally or use Cloud Giants development services to build and maintain.
Kelly received her communications degree from NC State and her MBA from State's Jenkins Graduate School of Management. She has professional experience as a business analyst at a variety of organizations based in the triangle from small start-ups to large multinational corporations.
As a software engineer for over 16 years, Chad has experience working with numerous platforms, programming languages, database systems, industry standard tools and application frameworks. At the same time, he has been in the industry long enough to know that technical ability is not the only skill required to deliver a successful product to market. Communication, organization, and critical thinking are the three pillars upon which every successful project stands, and Chad draws from his extensive industry experience in order to bring each of those skills to the table.
In 1998 Chad earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware with a double major in Computer Science and English. He has professional experience as a freelance consultant and as a lead software engineer for various companies ranging from internet startups to Fortune 500 corporations.
Alex began working for Cloud Giants as an intern years ago and has used her learning mindset to dive into the world of Salesforce and CRM. Since then, she’s moved from Customer Success Analyst to Lead Solutions Consultant and now, Senior Salesforce Consultant. As a Senior Consultant, she’s helped implement innovative solutions that are scalable for our clients long after our work together comes to an end.
Alex graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina State University in 2015. She has thoroughly enjoyed seeing Cloud Giants grow over the years, and is excited to continue helping the company reach its goals.
Holly began her career at Accenture in Systems Integration Consulting where she developed a passion for helping global companies optimize their processes, systems, and tools. Holly developed an interest in Salesforce.com as a user-friendly and highly customizable CRM solution. She left Accenture for an opportunity as a Senior Business Analyst with Red Hat and later went on to take a similar position at Citrix. Holly focuses on delivering value efficiently to her clients and is excited to be returning to consulting.
Holly holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Duke University. She has worked with clients across many industries, ranging from agriculture to high tech, with a focus on operations and business tools.
Grant joined Cloud Giants at the beginning of 2017 as a Salesforce Consulting Intern. He graduated from North Carolina State University in the Spring of 2017 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology.
As of July 2017, Grant has joined Cloud Giants full-time as a Solutions Consultant. He is a Certified Salesforce Administrator and plans on using his knowledge of Salesforce to aid the rest of the Cloud Giants team in delivering customers the right solutions that will help improve their use of the platform.
Kim started her career in technical communications and project management. She began with Salesforce first as a user in 2008, then later as a manager, for a SaaS company in Cary, NC. That experience led to a passion for the platform and a career change to full-time Salesforce administrator. Kim has two decades of experience managing projects and teams, and enjoys solving business problems using Salesforce and integrated applications.
She received a B.A from Duke University and has experience across a variety of industries, including e-learning, patient communications, and other SaaS (software as a service) companies. She understands that it is critical to learn the business process and identify gaps and inefficiencies before applying technical solutions.
Josh began his career working for a market research and data analysis firm, where he collaborated with executives to uncover key business challenges and identify strategic research solutions to address these needs. It was during this stretch he first began working in Salesforce, completing his Certified Salesforce Administrator training in 2013.
Josh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Lafayette College in 2010 and has experience consulting a wide variety of companies across industries, ranging from startups to Fortune 500.
Shelbi should have been a communications major at UNC, but she had a dynamic professor who sent her down the humanities path for a little while. Fortunately, she figured out that her love of storytelling was at the heart of branding, marketing, and communications.
After a few years promoting Duke University’s brand, she’s now applying her seven years total expertise in marketing and communications to share the Cloud Giants story. She holds a master’s from King’s College London and loves both old and New England.
Steve holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from Duke University and joins Cloud Giants after years in the nonprofit world. He’s formerly the Program Director of Kidznotes, an organization that engages students pre-K through 12th grade in an intense out-of-school musical program.
In this role, he supervised the implementation of Salesforce and worked with both his team of Salesforce users and consultants to optimize their use of the system.
Steve continues to stay active in the local music scene, singing in groups like the Singers of New and Ancient Music (SONAM), the Vocal Arts Ensemble, and an acappella group called The Bibs. He loves a delicious cocktail, a juicy steak, RuPaul’s Drag Race, epic fantasies, Duke basketball, and singing musical theater at every possible moment.
Deanna most recently graduated from Momentum, a Software Development Immersive course located in downtown Durham, where she was drawn to project management using Agile methodology. She’s excited to continue learning Salesforce and is a Salesforce Certified Administrator. Her 15 year career as an educator combined with her most recent studies have paved the way to becoming an Associate Consultant with Cloud Giants. She’s passionate about nonprofits, goal setting, and connecting people with their needs.
Deanna holds a degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She’s also a master avid Googler and was a Google rater with LionBridge for some time. It’s made her a bit of a random fact guru.
Lindsay Smithberger graduated with a degree in Financial Economics from Campbell University where she was a Division 1 Basketball recruit. From there, her job allowed her to live, work, and explore Southern California, Arizona, and New Zealand before making her way back to North Carolina. Although now Lindsay can't imagine doing anything other than Salesforce consulting, she attributes her past experiences in financial analysis and IT operations to helping her become the analytical, problem-solving, challenger-of-the-norm she is today.
Lindsay's passion for basketball and team sports growing up has translated to a passion for coaching CrossFit in her spare time, where she gets to encourage people to overcome self-imposed boundaries every day. Now as a Cloud Giants' consultant, Lindsay has found the perfect place to be able to merge all of her industry experience with her passion for coaching to help companies fulfill their own potential utilizing Salesforce.
Chris Newton has been involved with startups and small companies for over 20 years. Working across several different industries, he discovered his passion for bookkeeping and for business development and is excited at the opportunities that each new challenge brings.
He’s developed the ability to gain a quick and thorough understanding of the processes and practices unique to each business that can hold it back from potential growth and is able to implement corrections and best practices.
When he's not crunching numbers, Chris loves hiking, camping and being outdoors with his faithful sidekick, JoJo the Wonder Dog. He loves to travel and explore. He is also deathly afraid of horses.
